Abstract: The folkloric-literary interrelation has been one of the most relevant and highly significant phenomena in every era for the development and fulfillment of these fields of art. Georgian written literature, even starting from the highly canonical ecclesiastical monuments, is richly nourished by the wisdom embedded in the folklore of the working people. The writer, sharing universal human ideals with the luminaries of the 19th century, Egnate Ninoshvili (1859-1894), naturally portrays the social, historical, and ethical-aesthetic values of Georgian folk creativity, as well as the incompatibility with inequality and the unbiased folk assessments of history.
