Abstract

In several issues of the magazine “Eshmakis Matrakhi” from 1919 to 1921, publications were published about the problems of the country’s domestic life and foreign relations. Among these problems was the Bolshevik threat. The texts and caricatures published in the magazine were distinguished by their particular sharpness and concerned issues of great concern to the country. The poetic texts of “Eshmakis Matrakhi” broadly and sharply reflected such topics as Georgia and the world, Georgia and neighboring countries. Bolshevism and the Bolsheviks, etc. The magazine, using such poetic methods as satire and humor, presented a number of events and actions that created the history of independent Georgia. The authors of the publications tried their best to expose the vices of the political and social life of that time.
