On Some Statiс Verbs in Old Georgian

Abstract
The issues of static has been discussed by many scientists. In the ancient linguistic works there are attempts to find out nature of statics but it is noteworthy that there are a number of issues which are quiet arguable among scientists. Hence, observing static verbs studying their composition and functions is quiet actual problem of nowadays. The present work discusses the history of topic, a number of scientific works dedicated to he mentioned topic are analyzed and various views of Scientists are approved about the essence and peculiarities of static verbs. The term of static has two definitions: the first – statics expresses immovable, non-motional condition and according to the second opinion, static expresses not all kinds conditions but it is form of passive voice which necessary means irreversibility. Static verb has many peculiarities for example keeping dialect-tense in old and further development period is less, all static verbs are with lack of series, in old Georgian language static verbs do not need auxiliary verbs. According to root composition static verbs are with simple-roots as well as with the following suffixes -ი, -ი-ე,-ავ, -ან, -ობ, -ოვ... from which the majority are common to dynamic verbs. In the given work, there is an attempt to find out the genesis of static verbs, composition, function, the means of expression of it, general tendencies for static development and to show the general picture of conditions in old Georgian.
